  • The 'Dark Knight', relased in 2008, is the first Batman movie that doesn't contain the word Batman in the title.
  • In 'The Shawshank Redemption', the role of Tommy Williams, played by Gil Bellows, was originally offered to Brad Pitt.
  • In the movie 'The Birds', directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Tippi Hedren actually got hit by one of the birds while shooting.
  • In the 1997 blockbuster movie 'Titanic', Kate Winslet's sketch that Leonardo DiCaprio appears to be drawing, was actually drawn by James Cameron.
  • In many of Bruce Lee's movies, the shot had to be slowed down because Bruce Lee's movements during action sequences were so fast, that the camera was unable to capture them.
  • In the Colosseum scenes in 'Gladiator', the spectators in the bottom two levels are actually filled with people, and everyone else is computer-animated.

  • In May 1927, a Chinese theater know as 'Grauman's Chinese Theater' was opened in Hollywood, it's one of the most populat theatrer in the world.
  • The 'El Capitan Theater' hosts many live stage shows and world premiers of the movies. In 1989 the Walt Disney Company and Warner Brothers renovated it.
  • The 'Kodak Theater' was opened in the center of Hollywood in 2011. Nowadays it's the 'Dolby Theater'.
  • 'Egyptian Theater' or 'Pantages Theater' are others important theaters in Hollywood.
  • 'Cafe Montmarte' was the first nightclub opened in Hollywood.
  • 'Musso & Frank' it's the oldest restaurant in Hollywood.
  • 'Capitol Records Tower' was the world's first circular office.

  • It's located on Mountain Lee, Santa Monica Mountains.
  • It's one of the most recognized landmarks in the world.
  • It was built by 1923 by Harry Chandler to advertise the area 'Hollywoodland'.
  • In 1949 the alphabets 'L', 'A', 'N' and 'D' were removed and it started to represent the Hollywood distict.
  • Over time the sign began to deteriorate, but a public campaign started in 1978 ro restore it.
  • In September 1932, the actress Peg Entwistle committed suicide by jumping off the letter 'H' of the sign.
